ACTIVITY 05 | TARPAULIN EVENT DESIGN
Having to create a tarpaulin design for an event felt like actually having a client for there are certain standards and keen details to be observed in creating the design. With the theme being Bauhaus, I did discover that it is an artistic style that uses geometric shapes in a playful and honestly interesting way. It was a challenge for me as there can be times when the shapes feel too cluttered and there can also be instabces when the whole look of the overall design was just not looking neat at all.
For this design, I used toned down pastel colors to give this bit sense of vintage which apparently is a common style for the Bauhaus theme. The layout was an observance to balance wherein one side has most of the designs while the other side contains mostly the text details. The fonts that are used are very geometrical in shape and having to hoghlight important details by applying bold text type. Some other elements are the palette board, paint tube, and film to give off a more specified look to what people will expect for the event.
